การพัฒนาข้าวพันธุ์บางแตนให้ต้านทานเพลี้ยกระโดดสีน้ำตาลโดยใช้เครื่องหมายโมเลกุล Thai Agricultural

Bahng Taen is a non-glutinous, non-photoperiod sensitive, short duration and high yielding rice variety. This variety showed resistance against brown planthopper (BPH) in the Eastern region, but the resistance has decreased drastically. Therefore, marker-assisted backcrossing was applied to improve BPH resistance by introgression of a Bph3 resistant gene from PTB33 and Rathu Heenati into Bahng Taen. Two SSR markers, RM 170 for Bahng Taen with PTB33 crossing and RM 190 for Bahng Taen with Rathu Heenati crossing, were used in combination with plant type selection to obtain the target plants with Bph3 gene. Twenty six and thirty heterozygous BC4F1 plants were developed from the cross of Bahng Taen with PTB33 and Bahng Taen with Rathu Heenati, respectively....

Blast disease is a major rice disease causing significant rice yield loss worldwide. These are several methods to control this disease, but the most effective and most suitable method is to use blast resistant varieties. Prachin Buri Rice Research Center has released a rice variety ‘Bahng Taen’, which is resistant to blast in the Eastern region. Bahng Taen is a non-glutinous, photoperiod insensitive, early maturity variety with high yielding ability. However, the ability to resist to blast of this variety is declining drastically. It is, therefore, necessary to improve blast resistance in Bahng Taen by introgressing blast resistant genes into its background from two donors; PSL’07F6No.2 and PSL’07F6No.5. These two resistant lines were derived from the...

Blast disease is a major rice disease causing significant rice yield loss over the world. It is believed that growing a resistance variety is the most effective strategy for blast disease management. Bahng Taen is one of the released Thai rice varieties primarily found to be resistance to blast disease in the Eastern region. Nowadays, the resistance has decreased drastically. The variety is a non-glutinous, non-photoperiod insensitive, short duration of maturity with high yielding characteristic. In this project, a marker-assisted backcrossing strategy was applied in order to improve blast resistance in Bahng Taen by introgression of resistant genes from donors; PSL’07F6No.2 and PSL’07F6No.5 into this variety. Flanking markers RM212/RM319 and RM224/RM144...

KLG02008-19-2-4-3, an promising non-glutinous, non-photoperiod sensitive rice line had been derived from a cross of KLG96001-3-1-2 and SPR90. The improved rice had been developed through the conventional breeding and selection method. The single cross hybridization had been made in 2002 at Klongluang Rice Research Center. An promising line has an erect and moderately strong clum with about 120 centimeters for transplanting and about 112 centimeters for seed broadcasting, 118 days maturity for transplanting and 114 days for seed broadcasting. Its grain yielding potential is up to 1,052 kilograms per rai or more under suitably good fertilizer and cultural practice. The interstation yield trail in wet season 2010 obtained and average grain yield of...

CCS06039-KLG-8-3-5-1 is a non-glutinous, non-photoperiod sensitive and aromatic rice line derived from a cross between PSBRc54 and IR22. The single cross hybridization was made in 2006 at Bang Khen Rice Experiment Station (now Chachoengsao Rice Research. F2 to F5 progenies were selected at Klong Luang Rice Reseach Center during 2007-2008. The line CCS06039-KLG-8-3-5-1 has an erect and moderately strong culm; 110 cm height on transplanting and 105 cm height on germinated seed broadcasting; 117 days maturity on transplanting and 106 days maturity on germinated seed broadcasting. The cooked rice is soft and aromatic similar to Pathum Thani 1, and the amylose content is 16.4 percent. The seed size is larger than Pathum Thani 1. The period of seed...
